Call for Board Nominations

Welcome to the Connections Counselling and Consulting Foundation's board member page. Connections is a registered charity that was organized in 1990 to address a specific need in our community - providing counselling services to people with intellectual disabilities. Connections concentrates on working with all members of the family unit to help them collectively overcome the challenges that arise from the intellectual disability of someone they live with.

The Connections board of directors is a working/governance board that oversees and is responsible for a variety of committees and projects including future planning, program development, human resources, and fund development. Board members have the opportunity to contribute directly to these projects, while other projects and committees look to the board for strategic direction and guidance.

Connections is always looking for individuals with an interest in contributing to this volunteer board and strengthening Connections as a charitable organization. Specifically, we are currently seeking two board members to join the volunteer board with an interest in fundraising and the role of Secretary. This board asks for a time commitment of approximately 6 hours per month.
