Sibshops

Who offers Sibshops?

Our Sibshops programs are offered as a result of collaboration between Connections and the following agencies:

Renfrew Educational Services
Between Friends Club
McMan Youth, Family, and Community Services Association
Calgary SCOPE Society

Staff

The facilitators are either paid staff or volunteers from the above-named agencies, and practicum students sometimes join us. The facilitators have a background in either community rehabilitation or social work.

Generally, our Saturday program has four, or, in the case of a very large group, five facilitators each week. Our teen discussion group is co-facilitated by two leaders.

We now also have former Sibshops volunteers back as facilitators.
